Spider-man vs. Carnage Rooftop Arena
Custom Diorama!
This diorama depicts a typical scene from the 90's Spidey comic series pitting Spider-man against his arch-nemesis, the murderous Carnage! Each of these kits is written up separately elsewhere.
The entire building is scratchbuilt.
The diorama has a plywood superstructure covered with celluclay brickwork. The top bricks are molded from clay. Airbrushing and washes bring out weathered brick detail. (The white pigeon droppings are painted on. No need to push realism TOO far!!!)
The hotel sign is craft-shop wooden letters on a drywall corner-piece frame painted to look like rusty metal.
The skylight is wood and clear styrene. All wood parts are painted and airbrushed to appear like weathered peeling paint with aged bare wood beneath.
